Lepa Šapa is with you every step of the way
After your first message, we gather all the information about your pet and the service you need. If anything is missing, we’ll ask a few additional questions. This helps us understand your pet’s temperament, habits and individual needs, and find the right specialist for them.
Based on everything we’ve learned, we start looking among Lepa Šapa specialists. Everyone on our team is carefully selected and vetted, but every pet needs someone with the right experience for their individual temperament, age, behaviour and care needs. That’s why we match each specialist to the specific pet and booking.
Once the specialist is selected, the booking is confirmed with payment. After payment, the specialist is officially reserved for your booking.
Once the booking is confirmed, we create a group chat with you, specialist for your pet and a Lepa Šapa coordinator. This is where we sort out the final details and practical arrangements, and later share updates, reports and, of course, photos of your pet 🤗
At the agreed time, the specialist starts caring for your pet and follows all the instructions discussed beforehand. Throughout the service, you’ll receive photos, videos and updates in the chat: how your pet is doing, what they’re up to, and how the walk or visit went. A Lepa Šapa coordinator stays available throughout and follows your booking from start to finish.

Every Lepa Šapa specialist goes through a multi-step selection process before they even begin training, take the required tests or sign a contract.
The process includes background checks, reviewing publicly available information and a personal interview. We look carefully for any red flags that could put a pet at risk. Around 10% of applications are rejected before candidates even reach the training stage. -
More than just a couple of videos
Training at Lepa Šapa
Unlike many services, our training isn’t just a handful of five-minute videos. Around 32% of candidates don’t make it through the training stage. Our course covers the knowledge anyone caring for pets should have: animal behaviour and psychology, body language, emergency procedures and much more.
At the end of the course, every candidate is tested, and not only in writing. In a world where AI can help with almost any exam, we want to make sure the knowledge is real. That’s why, after the written tests, we hold a final in-person assessment. No phone under the desk or earbud can help there: we want to know that the person meeting your pet genuinely understands animals and is prepared to care for them. -

Safety comes first
Every pet is different. That’s why we approach each one individually, taking into account their temperament, habits and specific needs, so they feel both safe and comfortable.
We also collect all the essential information from you in advance. When you’re about to leave for a trip, the last thing you need is to suddenly realise you forgot to mention something important. Our coordinators go through every detail with you before you meet your Lepa Šapa sitter or walker, from how often your cat’s litter box should be cleaned to what medication your parrot takes.
With us, your pet is in safe hands, whether they’re out for a walk or at home. -
We keep you updated
We’re always in touch
You’ll always know what’s going on. During walks and pet sitting, we send photos, videos and short updates. For walks, you’ll also receive a screenshot from the route tracker, so you can see where your pet went, how far they walked and how long it took.
Want even more updates? No problem. Our walkers and sitters can video call you or send reports more often.
We know how hard it can be to leave a family member, even for a few hours. That’s why your walker or sitter, as well as your Lepa Šapa coordinator, stays in touch throughout the service.
